The clash between Ali modu Sherif and Ahmed Makarfi for the position of the People Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship position has been today resolved by the Supreme court of Nigeria. The Apex court which has been synonymous with settling issues that involves the big fishes in politics has ruled in favour of Ahmed Markafi, as Modu sherif was removed as The PDP chairman. The court ruling was made up of a Five-man panel led by Justice Walter Onnoghen. The final judgement was presided by Justice Bode Rhodes. The Supreme court, also held that the National convention of the People democratic party held on may 21, 2016 also had constitutionaly removed sheriff who filed a report before the Federal high court in Port Hacourt. Makarfi who came to Court with massive support was all smiles after the ruling, however Sherif, of which the ruling never favoured was unceremoniously absent from court.
