Acting president Yemi Osibanjo has warned that those that are tirelessly agitating for secession, and trying to divide the country are going country to the constitution which may incure punishment tantamount to going to prison.
Osibanjo who was speaking at the consultative meeting with south eastern traditional rulers at the presidential meeting, stated that the igbo trying to secceed from the country,and the Northerners who allegedly issued a quit notice to Igbos residing in the North, are going contrary to the nation's constitution which is clearly unlawful, and will be brought to book according to the law.
Stating at the meeting, he went on to say. "I Want to repeat that both the agitations for secession, and the ultimatum to leave the northern state are wrong and a violation of our constitution. "our constitution says in section 2, that Nigeria is indivisible and sovereign state to be known by the name FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA" OSibanjo admonished the gathering and called for a united Nigeria, without strive of tribalism despite the recent happenings in the Nigeria.
